Do You Believe in Magic?

Cowboy: So is it the magic time right now? Said without a trace of sarcasm.

Me: I don't know.

Cowboy: Come on, you know.

Me: No, I honestly don't. I haven't checked the monitor yet this morning, so I don't know. (See, I really did kick my BBT and charting habit).

Hours later, I still can't get it out of my head that after a year-and-a-half of trying to conceive and two miscarriages, my husband still manages to believe there is something slightly "magical" about trying to have a child.

And if you know anything about cowboys, you also know that the word "magic" generally isn't in their vocabularies.

What would I do without his unflagging optimism?

Oh, Bless him. Trying to do his best for you.
Thanks for your comment. Absolutely inspired what you did with Murphy......
Laughed my head off. Thank you for that.......

Ha, Ha, Ha! Mine is the same (and he is an MD, so should really know better). But he still believes it might just ... "happen."

Hopefully they know something we don't. But I still think its mostly a ploy to get some. :)

Hope Cowboy gets some!

Cowboys are your weakness?

And why wouldn't they be!!

I think your cowboy and my hunter are cut from the same cloth :)

Yep. My husband's blind optimism is all that keeps us going.

The boys can be so good (and so optimistic) sometimes. Very sweet.

That is really sweet. My husband and I have spent many of our fifteen years together in the pursuit of a baby, and while the "magic" would definitely wane for me, it didn't for him! :)

I hope that magic is really magic very soon!!

P.S.- We have three living children, all conceived through the magic of fertility drugs.

Magic time. That's a great way to see it.

My husband is also full of (misplaced?) optimism. Sometimes it annoys me but mostly I am happy that one of us is able to keep the spirits up.
